Elizabeth, I don’t know the answer to your question, but the Council’s Subcommittee on Redistricting’s website can be found here: http://www.dccouncil.us/redistricting2011info

I assume if you check it periodically they’ll post more information about their schedule and plans.

Brianne, thanks for an excellent summary of the meeting. I will certainly post the final maps on the Shutterfly site — but I hope you and other community members will bear with me if it takes a couple of days. I was up til 1:30 am last night getting all this put together, got very little work done at my “real” job today in prep for tonight’s meeting, and am way behind there due to Rosh Hashanah last week keeping me out of the office for two days.

I’m also sorry I couldn’t call on audience members tonight — if I had started down that road, we’d still be there. I hope you and others understand. But I also hope everyone recognizes that a 10-0 final vote, even after a 6-5 vote on the most divisive issue we faced, reflects well on each and every member of the Task Force and their commitment to getting this job done with a minimum of drama and a maximum of constructive engagement.

Thanks for your blogging of the whole process, from early August through this evening.

Brianne, thank you so much for this description! It really helps gain some perspective on the process. Many of my constituents have gone apoplectic at the prospect of having Mt. Pleasant Street connected to an ANC that is mostly on the other side of 16th Street.
